Decorating
to live
Decorating your home should be fun and rewarding
and should reflect your personal taste and style. Every time
you walk into a room that we have worked on together, it should
make you smile. I see my job as a design professional as that
of a guide, a designer who listens to you rather
than a designer who dictates to you.
My goal is to help you find the inspiration and the resources
you need to achieve the look you want. Then I worry with the
measurements and the details so your end result is both beautiful
and functional.
I
can offer as little or as much help as you require and will,
gladly, design a single window treatment or your entire home
interior. The key is to address your needs
and that of your family. A quiet and serene bedroom, a playful,
family room or an elegant, inviting living room; I will listen
to you and, together, we will make it happen.
Budget
and Beauty
Budget
and beauty are not mutually exclusive. My clients have
access to a wide variety of fabrics and furnishings to
suit every need and I will work to achieve a great look
while respecting your financial plan.
Working Together
The design process begins with a visit to your home, to
meet with you, learn your taste, style and color preferences
and what makes your things and home unique. I help you
to prioritize your projects, so your budget and your objectives
don’t collide and I will take preliminary measurements
and photographs. After our meeting, I will develop design
ideas for your project and research the fabrics and materials
needed to bring those ideas to life.
Meeting
at the workroom is, usually, the next step. There you
can examine the options, I have pre-selected for you,
to determine which one you find most exciting. I do the
leg work but we work together to make the final choices.
My workroom contains thousands of fabric, trim and hardware
choices, as well as information on furniture and accessories.
My clients enjoy their completed projects because their
tastes and preferences have been respected throughout.
It is an interactive process where you and I will work
together to achieve a result you will LOVE!

Staging to Sell
You never have a second chance to make a first impression!
Never has this statement been more true then when selling a
home. Over 85% of home buyers shop first by looking at photos,
of available homes. If a house looks cluttered, dated or in
poor condition, they won't even take the time to visit.
Staging is the art of preparing your home to sell quickly, and
for the best price. When you stage a home to
sell, you are showing the house at it's best and allowing potential
home buyers to feel welcome, and imagine themselves living in
the home.
Staging is an investment in selling your home. Once you decide
to sell your home, it becomes a product and needs to be more
attractive to buyers than the other products from which they
have to choose. The cost of staging is always less than the
cost of a price reduction on the house. Using mostly things
you already have in your home, a certified professional stager
can maximize the potenial of your house...Make your
house stand out in the crowd!
